Dear Congressperson,
I solved this puzzle - can you?

Three’s Company

May 18, 2016

Here’s where we are: Bernie Sanders, who got my vote in the New York primary, is being encouraged by some to run for president as an independent in the fall. (He won’t, I know.) In a three-way race between Sanders, Clinton and Trump, it’s likely that Trump wins or no one gets the 270 electoral votes needed to be elected president. If no one gets to 270, the House chooses between the candidates and since the GOP controls the House at the moment, Trump would be president.

But it’ll be Clinton vs. Trump in the fall because we’re stuck with a 51-Across. This must be frustrating to someone like Sanders. Perhaps this is an issue he and others will address after November.

Solve the puzzle. Then click on one of the tabs below the grid to use Twitter or email and send the following message: “Dear Senator Sanders, I solved this puzzle — can you?”
